Lush Lacquer Green Genie Swatches And Review

Happy Saturday!! Hope your weekend is running nicely and smoothly (: Today I have swatches of a polish called Green Genie from new to me indie brand Lush Lacquer. I've bought a batch of polishes from them, all mini bottles to try out, so in the next couple of days I will be swatching those. Anyway Green Genie is a part of their Neon Collection, and it is a light green base with loads of bright neon glitter.

In these swatches, I'm holding a random bottle of polish as a mini Green Genie bottle is too small to hold comfortably.

I did three thin coats and finished with a top coat. Two thicker coats would probably do as well. The formula is a bit tricky and here is why: the polish itself has a very nice consistency, not too runny, not too thick, but it dries very fast. I had it drying on my brush while I was painting my nails. It is no big deal really, I was just painting faster than normal, but it might be an issue for those who tend to work slower.

Overall I love this polish. Fast drying time is certainly a big plus when you're done :D The shade is lovely (you know how much I adore green shades ^_^) and the neon glitter is super playful. Love it!

Alanna Renee Butterbeer Swatches And Review

Hello Hello (: Or simply TGIF :D Today I have swatches of a marvelous polish from Alanna Renee. It is called Butterbeer (amazingly yummy name!), and it is white glitter of different sizes in a light orange base.

I did three thin coats to make in opaque. Two thicker coats would do too, but I did three to hide my nail ridges which are still there (damn them), and I can't wait for my nails to grow back. Finished with top coat as usual.

Formula is wonderful. Smooth and buttery lol! application and a quick drying time. This orange shade is very nice; not too screaming bright, but still saturated and sweet. And white glitter works perfectly here. It seems almost like a textured polish to me (:

Dark Vampy Nails

Hi beauties! Tomorrow is Friday so cheer up :D I have a dark vampy look to share with you today. It is a bit unusual mani for me as I often prefer strong bright colors to dark ones. But I had a glitter polish called Heart Burn from All That Glitters that I wanted to try and after swatching it on its own on a nail wheel, I realized that it will be way better over a base color.

Heart Burn is a silver, black and white glitter with black and white hearts in a pink jelly base. I chose Deborah Lippmann Single Ladies as the base color. I did two coats to make it opaque, layered two coats of Heart Burn on top and finished with a top coat. Formulas were good; the only problem is fishing for the hearts in Heart Burn. I've got just a couple on each nail as you can see.

I like this mani a lot. It is edgy and glittery, what more to ask for lol! The colors are unusual for me, but still it is nice to get outside the box sometimes.

Here are my two polishes.

Skittles Soft & Sweet ^_^

Hey there! Today I have a super soft skittles look to share with you. The idea of a soft glittery look was brewing in my head for awhile, but another cool green polish was messing with me every time (: And again and again :D Ah, I'm a fan of green shades... That's just the way I am. Anyway I (finally) got myself together and banished greens for the day.

I chose Deborah Lippmann Amazing Grace as my white base and did three coats. Then I picked four different soft shade glitters: Lynnderella Ghost Of A Chance and Sweets To The Sweet, All That Glitters Garden Party and Gloss 'N Sparkle Unicorn Droppings (that is actually a killer name :D).

Two coats of each in the following order: pinkie - Unicorn Dropping, ring finger - Garden Party, middle finger - Ghost Of A Chance and index finger - Sweets To The Sweet. And finished with a top coat.

I love this sweet skittles mani! It came out exactly like I was thinking it will be, no overloaded look like yesterday (: And it is so soft! Perfect for a romantic evening or a sweet date ^_^ Too bad I had neither lol!

Here are the polishes I've used today.

B&W Mood

Hi pretties! Hope you are all fine this Tuesday! Today I'm in a bit of a b&w colored mood so I decided to do a mani just for that.

I picked Deborah Lippmann Amazing Grace as my base color; it is a pure white polish. All That Glitters Spotty Dottie Dark plays the black part; it is a clear base with black hexes and bars of different sizes. And finally I added a bit of Models Own Jack Frost on top for a little sparkle (:

I did three coats of Amazing Grace and let it dry fully. Then I applied one coats of Spotty Dottie Dark using both regular brush strokes and a bit of dabbing here and there. Finally I added one coat of Jack Frost and finished with a top coat.

I have mixed impressions about this mani. I feel like I overdid it with black glitter; I should have used less of it in order to avoid this overloaded look. The idea was not bad, but I did not make it look right (: Oh well, it all simply means that next time I have to do better (:

Here are the polishes I've used.

Stay tuned and thanks for looking!

All That Glitters Kokomo Swatches And Review

Hi all! Hope your week is starting fine and this Monday is not too blue for you :D Today I have swatches of All That Glitter Kokomo nail polish which I've received yesterday. And I have to say right away is that is freaking awesome!! Kokomo is a green cream base with loads of round glitter of all sizes. Pink, turquoise, black and fuchsia rounds! Is it awesome or what??

I did two coats and finished with a topcoat. The formula is beautiful! I thought it will be difficult to fish out the big black rounds, but surprisingly there are so many of them that I had no trouble.

The polish is complicated, interesting, playful and bold. It feels like an instant nail art on my nails without any real effort. I own a lot of polishes, but this one is the first that I feel is very special to me. Absolute love!

Here is Kokomo in the bottle.

Hungry Asian Ida Rose

Hi pretties! Hope your weekend is running smoothly and nicely! I'm sorry I didn't post anything yesterday; my bf stayed really late at work so there was no one to take the pictures for me :( So today I will do two posts, swatches and stash as usual on Sundays (: Swatches first.

Yesterday I was trying out another Hungry Asian polish called Ida Rose. I simply love this polish's name! Ida Rose. Isn't it stunning? Ida Rose is an orange creme polish with purple and blue hexes. It is such a good change for me as I've been sticking around green-minty shades lately and grew a bit tired of them.

I did two coats of Ida Rose and it is freaking perfect! I love this look. As it turned out, I've missed orange manis so much :D And the glints of glitter, oh my, I'm sold :D The formula is perfect and dries super fast which is another plus. The polish is very shiny on its own, so decided to skip the topcoat this time. Sorry for a bit of the tip wear (:

Here is the goodness in the bottle!

Alanna Renee Reptar Swatches And Review

Happy Friday :D I hope you guys have nice plans for the weekend. Today I'd like to share the swatches of Alanna Renee Reptar nail polish which I've recently bought. Reptar is a lovely mint-ish textured polish with orange and lavender hexes and tiny black, white and green glitter. It is my first textured polish (yeah, I'm THAT behind on everything in the polish world) so I'm pretty excited to show you how it looks.

I picked Barry M Mint Green as my base color and did two coats of it. I let it dry thoroughly and then applied two coats of Reptar. I did not finish with a topcoat as I love this textured polish with its scratchy finish (:

The formula was great! Smooth and easy application. I've read many times that textured polishes take awhile to dry so I expected longer drying time, but I honestly didn't notice much difference from any other polish. Drying time was pretty average and trouble free. I'm very happy with Reptar (:

Here are the polishes.

Different Dimension Gnarly Swatches And Review

Hi there! Hope you all are doing fine and hey, tomorrow is Friday :D I'd like to share the last set of swatches of Different Dimension 80's Baby collection today. The polish I had left is called Gnarly and it is a green scattered holo.

I did two coats. Formula is beautiful, no complaints whatsoever. No topcoat in this picture.

I then thought that I should really not leave it as plain as that and picked striping tape and another Different Dimension polish called Totally (which I've reviewed here) and got to work.

Nothing too special, simple angled stripes. I love how the colors play together in this mani though. Not too obvious, but still interesting. I finished this mani with matte topcoat.

Here are the polishes I've used.

Different Dimension Tubular Swatches And Review

Hi beauties! Hope your week is going fine so far (: Today and tomorrow I'm planning to finish with my swatches of Different Dimension 80's Baby collection. I have two polishes left to show you and today's polish is Tubular. Different Dimension Etsy store describes Tubular as "an orange scattered neon holographic nail polish". Well... ok. But I have to admit I fail to see orange in this polish. I see brown. A bit of a weird shade to my liking, definitely not something I would choose to wear, but I'm giving it a try today.

I did two coats and there are absolutely no issues with the formula like all Different Dimension polishes I've tried so far. Shade is another story. I definitely cannot see any orange in it... It IS brown. I've decided to make it all a bit less boring and added two coats of Lynnderella Neutral Party to my ring finger and a few squared gold studs here and there. And finished with a top coat.

Overall this mani does not look bad. Maybe it even looks interesting. I have mixed feeling about all this though. Shade is different from what it should be, but if you're into this color, go for it as the formula is fantastic.

Here are the polishes I've used today.

Hungry Asian Bliss Swatches And Review

Hi all! I'm so sorry I didn't show up yesterday; I had a terrible headache and was staying in bed all day trying to sleep... Not fun. Thank goodness I feel better today and I'm ready to show you the swatches of Hungry Asian Bliss nail polish. Bliss is a sweet soft pastel yellow with tiny dark pink glitter and light pink hexes. Adorable shade (:

I did four coats, not because I had to, but mostly to hide my horrible nail ridges. And hey, it did the job! Otherwise, two coats are just fine for a semi-sheer look and three coats will give you full opacity. I finished with a top coat as usual.

The formula is stunning! Smooth easy application and quick drying time. And the polish itself is so sweet and yummy looking just like a fresh cake on my fingers :D

Here is Bliss in the bottle.

Stay tuned and thanks for looking!
