My Frankening Experiment

Happy Friday or simply TGIF (: Hope you all have good plans for the weekend. Today I have a very special mani to share with you. It is so special to me because I mostly used the polishes that I've created during my frankening experiment. I love experimenting with glitters and suspension base when I have free time; I only wish I'd have more of it.

So today I've used two frankens and Deborah Lippmann Amazing Grace as my base color. The first franken is called Fairy Floss and it is a mix of matte pink, mint and silver gray hexes in a clear base. The second franken is called Fairy Pink Toes and it is a mix of matte pink, mint and white hexes accented with white micro glitter in a candy pink base.

I did three coats of Amazing Grace on my pinkie and my index finger and one coat of Fairy Floss. I used regular brush strokes and a bit of dabbing for application. And I have two coats of Fairy Pink Toes on my ring and index fingers. I was a bit surprised how opaque Fairy Pink Toes has turned out. It is still a jelly polish, but two coats gave me full opacity. Unexpected result (: When I was making these, I made sure I add a lot of glitters so I won't have to fish for anything and now I feel like I did everything right. I'm also quite happy with the suspension base I've purchased as I was looking for awhile and seems like I've got what I wanted.

The formulas were good. I was afraid the polishes will turn out to be too thick, but this is not the case. Overall I'm very happy how these two turned out. It was my first frankening experiment, and I thought my first attempt will result in a mix of crap :D I have a few more frankens to share with you tomorrow and on Saturday.

Here they are (:

Stay tuned and thanks for looking!
