Hi all! Sometimes a mani comes together very easily and this is the case today. I found a set of sweet kitty design water slide decals in my stash drawer and immediately figured that I want to try them with my NARS Kutki polish. Why? I honestly don't know. In general I like the color combo of pale blue and black so maybe that was my reason. But I didn't want to stop just there. I browsed though my stash and found a glitter polish packed with pale blue and pink tiny rounds, pink and black hexes of different sizes and some black bars as well. This was Naild'It Unique Nail Polish Mermaid Tears.
I started with two coats of Kutki. After it was completely dry, I picked two different decal designs and applied them om my middle and ring fingers. Then I applied one coat of Mermaid Tears on my thumb, pinkie and index finger.
And sealed everything with two layers of top coat. I love this mani so much! I adore cats (you could probably guessed that already lol) and I think these black kitties look well against opaque blue base. And Mermaid Tears bring that unique feel of fun and sparkle that we all love so much. Plus the glitter mix goes well with the base color and the decals in my opinion.
I have to say though that Mermaid Tears was a bit tricky to apply as I needed to fish a bit for big black hexes. I used dabbing technique to apply this polish as it seemed easier that way to me.
