Hungry Asian Itsy Bitsy Swatches And Review

Happy Friday! As promised, today I have swatches of another Hungry Asian nail polish called Itsy Bitsy. It is a lovely sheer yellow base with red and orange hex glitter.

The formula is great, no complaints here. And the polish is beautiful! Just like summer in a bottle (: I did three coats to make it opaque and finished with a top coat.

And the name is so fun! Yellow bikini top with tiny red dots is printed on the label :D

Stay tuned and thanks for looking!

Hungry Asian Kiwi Smoothie Swatches And Review

Hi all! Yesterday I've received a few polishes from a new to me indie brand Hungry Asian that I've purchased on Etsy. I've been eying them for awhile and ended up buying 14 bottles :D I've picked a  polish called Kiwi Smoothie which is a fresh light green base with tiny black glitter to show you today.

I have to say the formula is wonderful! The polish applies smooth and creamy and dries fast. And the color is mmm (: So yummy! Here are three coats with a top coat.

Here is the green goodness in the bottle. I plan to swatch another one of Hungry Asian polishes tomorrow.

Stay tuned and thanks for looking!

B&W Bow Mani

Hi beauties! Today I had enough time to do my skittles mani that I wanted, hooray! It is rather simple, but yet quite cute. I didn't want to go for bright colors, so I chose a plain black and white theme.

I picked Deborah Lippmann Amazing Grace as my base polish and applied three coats. Then I did two coats of Lynnderella Connect The Dots on my pinkie and middle finger and two coats of Love, Lace and Lilacs on my ring and my thumb. And sealed everything with a top coat.

Finally I grabbed cute white/silver bow embellishment with tiny rhinestone and glued it to my index finger. It turned out to be kinda cute despite the B&W combo. Bow plays its part I guess (:

A little macro of Connect The Dots.

Here are the polishes I've used.

Enchanted Polish Cranberry Cosmo

Hi everyone! Hope your week is going fine. Mine has got a hell of a start; I was so busy with work today that I didn't have time to do another skittles mani as I wanted so I went for a quick plan B and picked Enchanted Polish Cranberry Cosmo, a lovely deep berry red holo.

It is basically one coater as the polish is very opaque. Habits are a strong thing though so I did two coats. And finished with a top coat which has dulled the holo effect a bit, but not too bad.

I like this polish a lot, it is a beautiful solution if you're running out of time. Definitely on my "to-go" list. And the formula is great, applies smooth and creamy and very quick to dry.

Here is my day saver (:

I just hope I'll have more time tomorrow to do the nail art.

Stay tuned and thanks for looking!

Red-Pink Skittles Mani

Hi all! Hope your Memorial Day is going well! If you aren't celebrating, hope your Monday is not too bad (: I've been falling in love with skittles mani variations recently, so today I'm going to show you one and most likely another one tomorrow. Please bare with me (:

I picked three polishes for my red-pink skittles: Deborah Lippmann Sweet Dreams and Candy Shop and MAC Scorcher. I applied three coats of each. I have Scorcher on my pinkie and index finger, Candy Shop on my middle finger and my thumb and Sweet Dreams on my ring finger. Finished with a top coat.

I also added a couple of little round black studs to make a sweet accent on my index finger and pinkie. I love this simple mani! I think colors play nicely together and the studs bring that very special cute-yummy touch to the whole thing.

Here are my polishes!

Stay tuned and thanks for looking!

P.S. Oh, almost forgot! You have probably noticed that I've cut my nails! I grew a bit tired of my long ones especially considering the fact that they are hardly ideal, so I've decided to go short for awhile. They seem so cute and adorable to me now (:

Outfit Inspired Mani: Navy And Gold

Hi all! I was looking at a few outfit inspired manis for awhile before finally deciding to do my own. Well, in my case it is more of a garment inspired rather than outfit inspired (: Anyway I've picked my new cardi that I've recently purchased on Etsy as my inspiration. It is a simple navy cardi with hand painted gold arrows and little round studs embellishments.

I've chosen MAC Naughty Nautical as my base color. It is pretty much one coater, but I did two just out f habit. Then I've grabbed gold nail striping tape and put four horizontal stripes on each nail (there is no way I could have free handed that :D). And finally I've added little gold studs I've purchased from Born Pretty store, three on each nail. And finished with two coats of top coat.

Overall I do like this mani. It looks simple and elegant, plus I love the combo of dark blue/navy with gold. But I have to say that I'm quite frustrated with the amount of time it took me to create this look. Two and a half freaking hours without counting the time to do the base color coats.

It is my first try with the striping tape so that is a big factor I guess, but nonetheless I don't think I'm ready to spend that much time just doing my nails as tomorrow I'll remove this mani and do another one. I love nail art and all, but probably I like to enjoy other people work more than to do my own. So I don't think I'll do things like this often. I like simple glitter manis better anyway (:

Here is my polish and the studs I've used.

Plum Sea Stuff And Lynnderella Chartreuse Grit

Happy Friday to all! I have a super positive green mani to share. Yesterday I've received a few polishes from a new indie brand Plum which I've purchased on Etsy. I've picked a polish called Sea Stuff as my base color. Sea Stuff is a lovely blend of deep green dots is a sparkling light green base.

I've applied three coats to make it opaque. I have to say I have mixed feelings about this polish. First of all, it is quite thick but manageable especially if you add thinner like I did. Second, green dots tend to somewhat stick to the bottle walls so you have to shake the bottle often if you want a decent amount of them on your nails. And third I'm not sure this polish is pretty enough to wear on its own. Probably it will look nicer if you pick good indies for it.

So having said that I felt like I needed something to add to my mani and make it shine. I chose Lynnderella Chartreuse Grit and applied one coat on top of Sea Stuff. I've used a combo of regular brush strokes and dabbing method to get a nice glitter coverage with no big gaps. And finished with a top coat.

Here is a micro shoot.

This mani looks so awesome! Positive, juicy, refreshing!

Here are the polishes!

I wish you all a happy and safe Memorial Day weekend!

MAC Seasonal Peach And Lynnderella Ghost Of A Chance

Hi pretties! Hope your week is going fine! I have a romantic mani to share with you today. I was eying my Lynnderella Ghost Of A Chance polish for awhile so I finally decided to do a simple glitter mani with it.

I chose MAC Seasonal Peach which is a creamy soft pink peach as my base color. I applied three coats to get decent opacity although I think it was not decent enough to wear the polish on its own. The forth coat would probably help.

Then I applied two coats of Ghost Of A Chance which is a milky sheer base loaded with pastel glitter of various shapes and colors. Very soft and sweet looking polish.

And finished with a topcoat. The formulas are both great, no issues whatsoever. You can see the lovely glitters in this micro.

Here are my polishes!

MAC Nocturnelle And Models Own Disco Inferno

Hi all! Sadly I have a very disappointing experience to share today. I've recently got a very nice looking polish, Models Own Disco Inferno which is a clear base glitter bomb loaded with gold flakes, silver squares, orange hexes and green dots. I was so happy with the look of it in the bottle that I could not imagine how crappy my experience with it will turn out.

I've started with two coats of MAC Nocturnelle which is a perfect jet black polish. No issue there. The polish applies smooth and dries fast. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same thing about Disco Inferno. First of all, the polish is super thick. I've added polish thinner twice and it didn't seem to make much difference. I certainly do expect glitter bombs to be thicker than regular polishes, but this one is way too thick for me.

I applied one coat and waited it to dry for 30 minutes. It was more or less dry when I applied a bit more polish using dabbing method to fill the gaps in glitter. It was very difficult to do as the polish is so thick that I could not fish big gold flakes fast enough ending up with the polish drying on the brush. End result? Bubbles. Loads of bubbles on my nails. Plus the polish is bumpy on its own.

Overall drying time is awful. After an hour, the polish was still easy to smudge. I applied top coat which at least evened it all out, but the bumps were still visible. My mani ended up looking like a total glitter mess. I absolutely hate it. Point.

I'm very disappointed with Disco Inferno. I wasted so much time just fighting with this polish! I was even thinking that I was doing something wrong, but I seriously doubt I could loose my ability to apply glitter polish overnight. I have a few Models Own polishes and I never had any issues with any of them. But this one just sucks!

Here are the polishes. I ended up taking this mess off right after picture taking. I felt very upset indeed.

All pictures are indoor today.

Ozotic Scatter 915

Hi all! Today I have swatches of Ozotic Scatter 915 to show you. This is the first Ozotic polish that I've tried and I have to say that it is gorgeous! Scatter 915 is a duochrome polish that shifts from light green to light turquoise blue/gray and contains loads of tiny holo particles. The formula is wonderful too, smooth and silky application and works like a charm.

I applied three coats and finished with a top coat. Lovely glow! The only issue with me is my ugly nail unevenness, but oh well, it is what it is.

Here is the polish!

Stay tuned and thanks for looking!

Happy Hands Nursery Rhymes Swatches And Review

Hi all! I hope your Monday is going fine or at least better than mine. I feel awfully crappy today for some reason, general weakness and a huge desire to land into bed. Maybe I'm sick, dunno. So I'll be quick today.

I've received a few polishes from Harlow last weekend and one of them is Happy Hands Nursery Rhymes, a lovely pale yellow jelly with tiny pale blue glitter, small pale pink hexes and small pale purple squares. It also contains a mix of pale blue, pink and purple stars.

I adore this polish! It is just so sweet, so yummy, so pastel, so cute.. I applied three coats to get decent opacity, although my tips are still visible.

The formula is good, I had no issues applying my three coats, but I have to note that it might be a bit too thick to my liking. The polish is loaded with glitter though, so it is expected plus it can be easily fixed with polish thinner. It dries fast and I had no issues with glitter fishing.

This is my polish. Isn't it adorable? (:

Stay tuned and thanks for looking!

Neon Studs Mani

Hi everyone! I hope you all are having a great weekend so far (: I do and that is thanks to the mani I'm wearing today. It is so funky, edgy and daring! I absolutely L-O-V-E it!! I didn't expect it to turn out so great that I don't want to take it off now lol. Anyway I picked Inglot 646 as my base color and chose Butter London  Bluey to add a sparkling touch (which I obviously cannot live without, is it bad hehe?).

I applied two coats of 646, a deep shimmery blue, and one coat of Bluey, a sheer shimmery teal, on all fingers except my ring finger. Then I grabbed my new set of studs which I've recently received from Born Pretty store and glued neon yellow ones to my ring finger in a polka-dot fashion.

And finished with a top coat. You have to be careful with this though as in order not to let any bubbles into your mani, you have to work really fast and apply a generous amount of top coat.

Isn't this awesome? I rarely feel so thrilled about my own work, but this one just kicks my socks off (:

Here are the polishes and the stud set I've used.
